QUINTUM ENABLES IRISH SERVICE PROVIDER TO OFFER

TIPS, an Irish service provider, is using Quintum technology to implement an innovative and highly effective “land and expand” strategy that makes it easy for customers to give the go-ahead to money-saving VoIP initiatives by eliminating both capital cost and risk. The strategy also enables TIPS to capture a greater share of its customers’ voice business over time. TIPS installs a Quintum switch on the customer’s premises at no cost and lets the customer decide what portion of their voice traffic they want to re-route over the TIPS network. Customers can use TIPS for their inter-office traffic, their fixed-to-mobile traffic, their in-country long distance traffic, and/or their international traffic. They can change their minds any time – adding or eliminating “traffic of interest” as they see fit. They can also disengage with |
TIPS altogether if they ever want to, or they can use TIPS exclusively. The customer is always in control and always has zero risk.

TENORS ENABLE ITALIAN INTEGRATOR TO
DEPLOY VOIP WITH MICROSOFT OCS 2007 |

IDC, an Italian integrator and Microsoft Certified Partner, deployed Quintum’s Tenor BX switch to support its Microsoft OCS environment with VoIP connectivity.
|

IDC had previously installed another vendor’s certified gateway to implement VoIP. However, IDC encountered a variety of problems with that gateway – including failures connecting to the toll-free numbers of discount long distance providers. Quintum’s superior ability to handle the pre-connection messaging of these providers eliminated this problem. IDC found that Tenor switches offered a complete, robust gateway solution for Microsoft OCS environments with its Unified Communications Proxy (UCP) which provides ‘Any to Any’ switching, support for analog devices, and remote-office survivability.
